Jana Baldridge Vargas is nationally recognized as a leader, author,
and speaker in the area of death and loss. She holds a degree in
the Social Science of Health and Medicine from Chapman University
and is currently completing a Master's program in Education.
Jana's lifelong passion is helping others through the pain
and loss each human being will eventually encounter through death
and/or personal tragedy. She has focused her studies in the areas
of death and loss, with an emphasis in hospice and long term care.
Jana has worked directly in the fields of crisis response and intervention
as well as crime victim assistance. She currently works as an educator
with children who have severe cognitive disabilities.
Jana is also in high demand at numerous college and adult learning
classes to speak on various Sociology and Death related
issues. Jana's genuine warmth and charismatic style brings the
discussion of death into a new perspective, one that embraces death
and loss as a tool for living fully. Jana's articulate grace in
discussing such a serious subject has made her a favored speaker
and a personal advocate to friends, family, and anyone experiencing
the loss of a loved one.
Jana truly lives the way she writes, passionately, honestly, and
fully, with her husband of thirty years at their homes in southern
California and Taos, New Mexico.
